Monument to this great poet was constructed thanks to Jovan Dučić, who bought the location from it from catholic church. It was unveiled on May 28/29, in the presence of king’s ambassador. The monument was made by the well-known sculptor Tomo Rosandić, who was an apprentice of the famous Ivan Meštrović. This is the first monument honoring Njegoš in the world. Granite compartment was made by Dragiša Brašovan, an architect from Belgrade.
